Everyone is a Caregiver

EACG

Earlier this month I told you about our program to acknowledge the unique ways everyone in our 12,000-plus organization is a caregiver.  The “Everyone Is a Caregiver” program includes the posters and wall hangings that appear across the health system.  They convey this simple message: It’s not just the person who delivers the care, it’s all the people who make it work and make it better, for patients and for their colleagues.

Today I want to share with you a video that reminds us all why we are in health care and why everyone, in their own unique way, plays an important part.

I also want to introduce you to the caregivers in the program so far. The featured caregivers were nominated by their managers and coworkers and are 38 of our colleagues who each embody what we mean by Everyone, Everyday. We are a system of caregivers working to become the best place to give care and the best place to get care.

You can read the caregiver profiles at www.EveryoneEveryday.org. There you can also nominate an extraordinary caregiver. The video is accessible there too.

Thanks for all your great work and for taking great care of our patients and one another,

Eric
